I completed my undergraduate degree in Education at the University of Alberta and have spent the last 15 years working with children ages 3 and up as an elementary school teacher with specialized training and experience working with children and families who are neurodivergent or experience cognitive, social, developmental, or physical diversities. In 2023, I completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University
What drew me into the field of counselling was the ability to focus on building and maintaining connections and relationships with client’s founded in an attachment based perspective and through a person-centered approach. I work collaboratively with client’s to explore how early relationships influence the way we understand, view, and belong in the world and create meaningful and purposeful goals as we journey on a path together towards healing, growth, and change. As individualistic as my clients, I use modalities specific to the needs of the client: play therapy, art activities, sand tray therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy.
ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Attachment, Behavioural challenges, Depression, Grief and Loss, Infertility, Psychoeducational Assessments, Self Esteem, Self-Harm, Separation and Divorce, Stress, Suicidal Ideation, and Trauma.
I enjoy fishing, rock climbing at the gym, hot yoga, and spending time on our acreage with my husband, 3 dogs, and cat.

I completed my Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2017, continuing to complete my Master in Counselling Psychology with Specialization in School and Youth at Adler University in 2019. While completing these degrees, I both volunteered and worked in a variety of settings, some of which included Robin Hood Association, CASA Mental Health, CMHA Edmonton Distress Line, and Wellspring Cancer Support Alberta. I am currently a Registered Psychologist with over 4 years of experience providing counselling services to children, teens, and their families in private practice.
Within a caring and safe collaborative relationship, I am dedicated to providing the support and tools necessary to empower your child to successfully navigate life’s challenges. I am passionate about helping cultivate a strong sense of self-worth and confidence to aid in overcoming obstacles. I am of the belief that children cannot exist in isolation, and therefore am dedicated to working alongside parents to help them feel competent and confident to support their children when faced with adversity. Developing a strong therapeutic connection is crucial, therefore one can anticipate a warm, non-judgmental, humour-filled, genuine relationship. I provide an integrative, trauma-informed, client-centered approach to therapy, which also incorporates modalities such as: play therapy, sand tray, attachment theory, polyvagal theory, dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness, Theraplay, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and others. To walk alongside you and your child’s healing journey is a honour and privilege.

My greatest joy is spending time in the outdoors with my husband, son, and two dogs (one of which is a therapy dog in-training)! I enjoy travelling, listening to a good audiobook, and gardening.
