For kids who feel big, love deeply, and sometimes need a little help finding calm, confidence, and connection with others. This social-emotional animal-assisted therapy group for kids ages 7–11y, is held at Hooves of Hope Ranch, just east of Millet, Alberta.
Led by a registered child psychologist and clinical counselor, this group focuses on building skills to recognize feelings, navigate big feelings, and develop social skills. Through gentle animal-assisted activities, creative art expression, mindfulness practices, and hands-on experiences in nature, children are invited to discover their strengths, calm their bodies (and their minds) and build trust in themselves & their relationships with others—all in a safe, supportive, and joy-filled environment where growth happens naturally, one moment of connection at a time.
